Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Finance Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for operating and capital plans. The role involves analyzing data, building forecasts, and providing actionable insights to leadership across departments.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of finance experience, strong skills in Excel, and a solid understanding of accounting and financial statements. A bachelor’s degree is required, MBA in Finance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Math, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• MBA in Finance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists with budgeting processes across operating and capital budgets.
• Develops forecasts and analyzes variances to targets.
• Prepares scheduled and ad hoc financial reports for leadership review.
• Obtains data from financial systems and ensures accuracy of budget data.
• Gathers information for operating and capital plans and tracks performance.
• Trains and mentors Financial Analysts as needed.
• May assist with contract analysis, grants, and reimbursements.
