Job description

PACS Group, Inc. is a holding company investing in post-acute healthcare facilities, professionals, and ancillary services. Founded in 2013, PACS Group is one of the largest post-acute platforms in the United States. Its independent subsidiaries operate 325 post-acute care facilities with 47,000 employees across 17 states serving over 31,000 patients daily. PACS business support division, PACS Services, provides technology and administrative support services — accounting, finance, human resources, compliance, payroll, AR/AP, legal, risk management, information technology, corporate communication, and other business advice and support — to their healthcare facilities, reducing administrative burdens so their leadership and care teams can focus on the care, well-being, and quality of life of their patients and residents. The IT Support Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing technology infrastructure and healthcare information systems across skilled nursing and senior living facilities. This role partners closely with facility and clinical teams to ensure reliable technology operations, secure access to healthcare information, and effective end-user support. The position plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing system performance, and delivering technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.

  • Support and improve enterprise technology infrastructure, healthcare information systems, and end-user computing environments across multiple skilled nursing and senior living facilities.
  • Implement, maintain, and optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical applications while ensuring seamless integration within the enterprise environment.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to understand workflow requirements and deliver technology solutions that enhance user experience and productivity.
  • Maintain secure, compliant technology environments by implementing security controls, conducting risk assessments, and supporting adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and SOC standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, networking, telecommunications, and cloud-related issues while providing exceptional technical support to end users.
  • Travel to facilities to perform onsite support, infrastructure assessments, modernization initiatives, and technology deployments.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of field-based IT support or infrastructure experience.
  • Cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and/or AWS. Desktop and end-user support. Windows client operating systems, including Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint deployment and troubleshooting. Apple iOS and macOS deployment and troubleshooting. Printer hardware and software support. Telecommunications technologies, including POTS, VoIP, fax, eFax, and ATA devices. Network configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, speak, drive, and operate a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces when installing or troubleshooting technology equipment.
  • Ability to install, connect, and test networking equipment and cabling.
  • Ability to travel by vehicle and airplane as needed.
  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Travel Requirements
  • Up to 80% travel to facilities within the assigned state.
  • Occasional travel to facilities in other states.
  • Participation in regular on-call support rotations is required.
  • Healthcare IT experience.
  • Experience supporting technology environments within skilled nursing, post-acute care, senior living, or healthcare organizations.
  • Understanding of healthcare technology security, compliance, and data protection requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in diverse facility environments.
