Job summary

TCH Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager - Environmental Services to lead the departmental operations, support services, maintenance, and cleaning of our facilities. You will ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors through effective resource management and proactive maintenance programs.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and the ability to implement operational policies, quality control, and AHJ

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred with supervisory experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: CHFM - Cert-Cert HC Facility Mgr and CHESP preferred.
• 4 years of experience in facilities, healthcare, or business management; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage the technical, administrative, and financial aspects of assigned building, plant, and/or functional areas of the facilities Operations department.
• Ensure the reliability and functionality of all facility assets and services via a Quality Control Program.
• Recommend staffing by analyzing space, equipment, productivity, benchmarks, and metrics.
• Maintain an adequate number of competent staff utilizing the targeted selection process and effective scheduling methodology.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and services are performed to standards set by AHJ and applicable agencies.
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, teamwork, and professional communication.
• Ensure equipment and supplies required for departmental services are available and maintained.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective services.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.
• Respiratory fit testing will be required for successful candidates.
