Job summary

The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place in Williamsburg, Virginia, seeks a Maintenance Technician to manage facilities and equipment in a hospital setting. You will perform routine and targeted maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, inspecting life-safety systems, and coordinating with external contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years' experience in maintenance or facility operations; healthcare setting preferred.
• Trade certifications in electrical, plumbing or HVAC preferred.
• Valid state driver's license if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repair on facilities and equipment (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems).
• Maintain facilities in safe, clean and good repair condition; report hazards promptly.
• Process work orders and hazard reports; inform Director of malfunctions.
• Ensure maintenance supplies are ordered, received and stored properly.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and complete required reports.
• Assist with parking lot, grounds, and landscaping as needed.
• Inspect emergency power, fire alarm, extinguishers, and lighting; test weekly.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and coordinate equipment and furniture as required.
