Job summary

Spring River Rehabilitation & Care Center in Roswell, New Mexico is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support daily maintenance and facility operations in our skilled nursing community. This hands-on role covers routine repairs, preventive maintenance, room readiness, grounds upkeep, and coordination with leadership to keep resident rooms and common areas safe, clean, and well maintained.

A mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools are ideal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are valued.
• Basic knowledge of general building maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, flooring, and general repairs.
• Maintain resident rooms and common areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Respond to maintenance requests and assist with preventive maintenance.
