Job summary

Cornerstone Companies, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and daily operation of one or more medical office buildings in Avon, IN. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and coordinate repairs while building strong tenant relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with property management, vendors, and tenants.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between assigned buildings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventive maintenance and routine building inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and building systems
• Responding to tenant maintenance requests and comfort calls
• Maintaining generators, fire protection systems, and other critical infrastructure
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, life safety standards, and building codes
• Coordinating outside contractors for specialized repairs and preventive maintenance
• Maintaining maintenance records, inspection documentation, and work orders
• Ordering maintenance materials and managing inventory
• Keeping mechanical rooms, storage areas, grounds, and common areas clean and organized
• Helping create a safe, professional environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers
