Job summary

AdventHealth in the United States is seeking a maintenance tech to service patient room equipment, repair electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, and support facility improvements. The role requires hands-on repair skills and adherence to healthcare regulations.

You will replace components, maintain medical gas outlets, and assist in signage installation. Shift is 2nd or specified; supervision is provided by the facilities team in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent; 5+ years of experience may be substituted.
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Replaces and repairs patient room equipment (light bulbs, TVs, thermostats, telephones, curtain tracks, doors, door closers, guards, wall base, floor coverings, ceiling tiles).
• Unplugs drains and repairs faucets and flush valves; responds to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing failures.
• Repairs medical gas outlets, carts, gurneys, IV stands, and appliances for patient use.
• Assists installation of signage and other wall-hung items; supports plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and facility improvements.
• Communicates progress with manager and team; adheres to healthcare regulations and participates in Quality Improvement.
