Job summary

MediLodge of Munising is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Crew member to support the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure building safety and comfort for residents.

With at least one year of maintenance experience and a high school diploma, you will work under supervision on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general upkeep, while helping coordinate contractor projects and keeping accurate facility logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repair to keep building and equipment in good working order.
• Monitors renovations or replacement projects by contractors.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC, refrigerators, boilers, washers, dryers.
• Participates in painting, redecorating, carpentry, concrete and masonry.
• Conducts inspection of fire control equipment and sprinkler systems.
• Maintains facility log of hot water temperature and safety checks.
• Coordinates monthly fire drills.
• Inspects grounds and maintains lawn.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
