Job summary

Cambridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our 120-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility running safely and efficiently. This full-time day-shift role focuses on maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and supporting a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will handle painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and related tasks; troubleshoot equipment, support preventative maintenance, and document work

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of building codes and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems for safe, efficient operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend system longevity.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems, equipment, and applicable building codes and regulations.
• Utilize basic computer systems to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and communicate updates.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and facility policies.
