Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, UT is seeking an experienced Maintenance Painter II for the Facilities Management department. The role focuses on painting and may involve patient room remodels; schedule is Mon-Fri 7:00 am–3:30 pm with some nights, weekends, and possible overtime.

You will prepare surfaces, paint walls and other surfaces, maintain tools, and adhere to infection prevention and life-safety guidelines in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to repair and paint all types of paintable surfaces found in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with wall protection systems, wallpaper, and other protective assemblies.
• Mastery of epoxy and other multi-part coating systems.
• Willingness to work hard and to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance and condition of hospital interior and exterior surfaces.
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces as needed.
• Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, scraping, cleaning) and apply paint per specifications.
• Follow infection prevention and life-safety guidelines.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment in good order.
• Work independently and may direct others.
