Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, Utah, is seeking a Maintenance Worker III – General in the Facilities Management department. This role focuses on routine to complex maintenance across various areas of a healthcare setting, with autonomous work and a strong emphasis on safe practices.

The position requires leadership capabilities for tasks and teams as needed. The schedule is Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm with some nights and weekend shifts as required, no on-call.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a maintenance generalist or handyman.
• Demonstrated abilities of the skills listed above.
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position.
• Willingness to work hard and to learn.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing damaged walls or floors.
• Perform complex maintenance tasks such as replacing plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, doors, and windows.
• Assist with or leading the installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital equipment and systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provides immediate assistance to resolve the issue.
• Communicates effectively with all parties affected by maintenance operations.
• Ensures infection control, patient privacy, and safety are considered and addressed in preparing for and performing work.
• Demonstrates a level of competency to perform work on routine to complex issues.
