Job summary
Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe maintains a safe, compliant campus and supports life safety operations across the hospital. The Maintenance Tech assists the EOC Director and helps oversee the environment of care and all maintenance needs of the building, grounds, and related services to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors.
Basic healthcare maintenance experience is preferred; duties include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general trades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or experience in building trades with emphasis on life safety and the environment of care in healthcare settings.
- 3-5 years in a hospital or nursing home setting.
- Effective verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- Proficient knowledge of PC computers and basic DSM V concepts.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the physical plant including building and grounds.
- Assist in overseeing Environment of Care and Life Safety across the campus.
- Support hospital operations related to safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting) as needed.
