Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Leesville is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general repairs and preventative maintenance across facility systems. You will work under the Environment of Care Director to keep building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and grounds in good condition.

The role requires EPA certification, high school diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. Experience in healthcare environments is preferred; expect to work on-site with safety-focused protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA certification required.
• Experience in building trades with emphasis on life safety and Environment of Care standards in healthcare settings preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance for the designated hospital.
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs.
• Implement preventative maintenance measures.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Complete inspections with Environment of Care Director.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and follow safety protocols.
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
