Job summary

HHS is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to lead hospital capital projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery. You will collaborate with Facilities leadership, Infection Prevention, clinical teams, and contractors to protect patients and minimize disruption to operations.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, bid processes, risk assessments (PCRA/ICRA), and regulatory surveys, with a dashboard for AVP Facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction-related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project-management applications.
• Excellent communication with executives, directors, contractors, and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver hospital construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects within budget and schedule.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and hospital departments; solicit bids and make recommendations.
• Monitor budgets, commitments, expenditures, and change orders; identify risks and impacts.
• Manage punch lists, inspections, commissioning, warranties, and closeout documents.
• Develop and maintain PCRAs and ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA 101/99/70, FGI guidelines, and local codes.
• Lead site inspections with Safety and Infection Prevention teams; oversee infection-control barriers and safety protocols.
