Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking a Director of Plant Operations to lead maintenance, safety, and facilities management across the Trophy Club campus. The role emphasizes policy development, regulatory compliance, budget oversight, and emergency preparedness.

The candidate will supervise maintenance and environmental services teams, manage renovations, and collaborate with departments to ensure safe, efficient operations for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Certified Health Safety Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for maintenance and repair of each facility and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and codes related to the physical plant and equipment.
• Managing the budget for each facility department within budgetary constraints.
• Developing and implementing a preventive maintenance program for all equipment and systems.
• Supervising and managing the maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Overseeing construction and renovation projects for each facility.
• Ensuring facilities are safe and secure for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans for each facility.
• Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to meet patient and staff needs.
• Maintaining records of maintenance and repair activities for each facility.
• Overseeing environmental services, linen services, waste disposal, biomedical equipment inspections, and security.
• Serving as Safety Officer and Chairperson of Environment of Care Committee.
