Job summary

You will perform coating applications, repairs, and preventive maintenance under the Facilities Engineering Supervisor, requiring a high school diploma and at least three years of painting experience in similar settings; a valid driver’s license is required for Meritus vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Trade or vocational coursework in related skills is welcomed.
• Experience: At least three years of professional painting experience in a facilities, construction, or maintenance setting.
• Licensure/Certification: If operating Meritus vehicles, valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting policy requirements. Annual certified driving record.
• If using a personal vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle, with acknowledgment of insurance requirements per policy.
• Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, repair, and maintenance of building finishes and grounds.
• Apply paints, sealers, varnishes, stains, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Refinish furniture and equipment as needed.
• Plan and record daily work assignments and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
