Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking a Facilities Painter / Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Engineering team at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. You will perform painting and maintenance tasks to keep patient and staff areas safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained, while planning daily work and preventive maintenance in accordance with codes and standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of painting experience in similar settings, and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade/vocational coursework welcomed.
• Minimum three years of professional painting experience in facilities, construction, or maintenance settings.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record as per policy; annual certified driving record when operating Meritus vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on building finishes and grounds.
• Apply paints, sealers, varnishes, stains, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Refinish furniture and equipment as needed.
• Plan and record daily work assignments and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
