Elliot Health System is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the management and operation of mechanical equipment across the Manchester facility. The role focuses on maintaining plant reliability and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance, monitor equipment, respond to alarms, and support after-hours operations. A valid drivers license and healthcare environment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/vocational training preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in plant operations or building maintenance; healthcare environment preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.

Responsabilités

• Maintains and operates all mechanical equipment, systems, and spaces throughout the facility.
• Checks unmanned machinery spaces and operation of designated machinery.
• Starts and operates boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and other machinery to maintain plant operations.
• Monitors system operations, follows procedures, and switches boiler fuels as needed.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Responds to system alarms and takes corrective actions.
• Initiates first response actions during emergencies following policies and plans.
• Maintains boiler room and machine room logs for consumption, tests, and deliveries.
• Oversees after-hour maintenance staff, contractors, or vendors.
