Job summary

Bay Harbor Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for day shift, full-time, with an hourly range of $18.00–$23.00/hr. You will conduct daily rounds, perform basic repairs, and support a safe, comfortable resident environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of maintenance experience; SNF experience is preferred. Safety and regulatory compliance are essential in this fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of general maintenance experience (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily facility rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review maintenance logs and complete work orders promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident spaces and environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
