Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Centralia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment and life-safety systems. Duties include repairs to fire and nurse call systems, doors, lighting, plumbing and electrical work, as well as basic carpentry and safe work practices.

Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or GED with two years of experience. This is a full-time, day-shift position, Mon-Fri from 7am to 3:30pm with occasional weekend

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Two years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs according to work orders or verbal instructions and documents per policy.
• Collaborates with vendors, contractors and factory reps for repair and shutdowns of water and fire systems.
• Performs basic plumbing, electrical and appliance repairs and light fixture installation.
• Performs carpentry and minor construction including drywall, flooring, cabinetry and countertops.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and proper material storage.
