Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to perform general maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest and surrounding facilities. The role focuses on plumbing, electrical and mechanical upkeep, preventive tasks, and timely response to trouble calls.

The position requires a high school diploma or technical trade training and 3 years of related experience; familiarity with CMMS and building automation is desirable.

Qualifications

• Trade skills in plumbing, electrical and mechanical operations
• Ability to read circuits, schematics, blueprints
• Experience with codes and standards (local, state, federal)
• Computer skills including CMMS and email

Responsibilities

• Performs minor maintenance of plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, systems, structures and other general maintenance.
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Responds to trouble calls, work requests and emergency situations.
• Utilizes the CMMS work order system and documents time and work completed.
