Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a half-time Maintenance Worker to care for the grounds, buildings, and equipment at the Regional Programs site. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist trades, and help ensure a safe environment in compliance with infection control standards.

The role requires Grade 12 education and relevant building trade experience or apprenticeships, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education (MB Standards) is required or equivalent.
• One year apprenticeship in a building trade is preferred.
• Two years of building trade experience is also advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and basic IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintains buildings and grounds in a safe, presentable condition.
• Ensures driveways, parking areas, and exits are clear of snow, ice, and debris.
• Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment per QA programs.
• Maintains logs for repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Assists trades and other maintenance staff; supports new construction and commissioning as needed.
• Responds to emergency calls (e.g., fire alarms) as required.
• Participates in on-call rotation as required by Regional Manager, Maintenance.
