The Pines at Bristol Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Bristol, CT is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee building and grounds maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in plant engineering or skilled trades, a trade-school or journeyman credential, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Trade school graduate or journeyman license preferred.
• 5+ years in plant engineering or skilled trades with safety focus.
• Proven leadership and ability to develop teams.
• Strong cost estimation, blueprint reading and writing of technical specs.
• Clear English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all mechanical and structural aspects of the facility, inside and out.
• Maintain critical systems including plumbing, boilers, heating, and hot water.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitary, health, and fire codes.
• Recruit, coach, and inspire a maintenance team; may oversee housekeeping/laundry.
• Set staff schedules and manage contractors for timely, quality work.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and repairs.
• Lead Emergency Preparedness Plan creation and execution.
• Plan electrical upgrades and equipment installations.
• Manage department budgets from supplies to invoices.
