Job summary

First Choice Community Health Centers in North Carolina seeks a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee operations across our medical and dental clinics. You will lead maintenance activities, coordinate repairs, and support construction projects to keep facilities safe and compliant.

The role requires 2–5 years of facilities experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and preference for healthcare facility exposure.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or construction-related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of facilities maintenance experience (preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare, dental, or commercial facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general systems.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and safety programs.
• Manage budgets, supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
• Assist with construction and remodeling projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
