Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance Director in healthcare environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, and generators.
• Understanding of healthcare facility regulations and life safety compliance.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.
• Experience preparing for state surveys preferred.
• Licensure or certifications related to maintenance or facility operations preferred based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facility maintenance operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, safety, and Life Safety Code regulations, including CMS and NFPA standards
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, logs, and compliance documentation
• Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, equipment, and grounds
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate outside vendors and contractors
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency facility issues
• Support state surveys, inspections, and plans of correction as needed
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff
