Job summary

Windsor Elk Grove Care and Rehabilitation Center in Elk Grove, CA is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Department by keeping the facility clean, safe, and comfortable. You will help operate, repair, and maintain boilers, HVAC systems, generators, electrical and plumbing systems in accordance with regulations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1-3 years’ experience with mechanical systems, ability to read blueprints, knowledge of safety codes, and licensure where

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years’ experience in the operation of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, etc.
• Knowledgeable in building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance practices.
• Licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
• Ability to plan and carry out repair programs, new construction, and equipment installation.
• Ability to control and track direct spending and labor budgets.
• Nice to Have: Experience in a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the Maintenance Department by ensuring that the facility environment is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
• You will assist with the operation, repair, and maintenance of boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, and other equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
