Job summary

Autumn Lake Crofton is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance department in Maryland. The role focuses on providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors with strong leadership and regulatory compliance guidance.

The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, coordinate preventative maintenance, and supervise staff and contractors to ensure system reliability and life safety readiness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Director in a skilled nursing, long-term care, healthcare, or similar setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department.
• Ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Supervise maintenance staff and outside contractors.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Manage maintenance supplies, work orders, and department records.
• Ensure life safety systems and emergency equipment are properly maintained.
