Job summary

Eye Associates of New Mexico is seeking an experienced Facilities Director to lead the facilities and biomedical maintenance functions that support our clinics, employees, physicians, and patients.

This hands-on leadership role oversees maintenance programs, capital projects, equipment procurement, vendor management, and service agreements to keep operations running smoothly across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of facilities and/or biomedical management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing people and customers.
• Proven commitment to excellent internal and external customer service.
• Strong vendor, contractor, and service-provider management skills.
• Experience with setup, use, and maintenance of medical equipment or coordination with service vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the facilities and biomedical maintenance team, ensuring buildings and equipment are maintained, safe, and compliant.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs, safety inspections, service agreements, and contractual activities.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely, cost-efficient work.
• Identify and source new contractors and service providers as needs evolve.
• Review quotes and proposals for repairs, equipment projects, and remodels.
• Plan and oversee facilities-related capital projects.
• Coordinate equipment installation and placement for clinics and support facilities.
• Ensure ophthalmic lane and laboratory equipment maintenance; keep critical equipment operational.
• Serve as internal resource for facilities requests and issue resolution.
• Oversee vendor relationships and establish maintenance/service agreements.
• Collaborate with architects, leadership, IS, and partners on expansions and renovations.
• Coordinate equipment delivery/installation for new locations; provide quality assurance for projects.
• Coordinate building-security responses with security vendors; oversee fleet maintenance.
• Support office moves and remodels; travel to practice locations as needed.
