Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to direct, plan, and coordinate the operation and maintenance of building systems across hospital/university campuses. You will oversee budgets, scheduling, and departmental performance while ensuring compliance with TJC, state and local codes, and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with regulatory oversight

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• HS/GED Required.
• Significant industry experience and specialized certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Directs, plans, coordinates and is responsible for proper operation and maintenance of uninterrupted building systems.
• Maintains facilities in professional condition and manages operating budgets for departments.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (TJC, PA Dept. of Health, City L&I) and supports readiness for site visits.
• Leads planning for future development of physical facilities and systems, including retrofit and replacement work.
• Oversees life safety systems readiness and maintenance (fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency generators).
