Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Facilities Management Director to lead hospital and clinic maintenance, safety programs, and regulatory compliance. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, and cultivate a welcoming healing environment for patients and families.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in healthcare facilities with supervisory experience, knowledge of JCAHO/TJC standards, and a valid driver’s license, with a collaborative culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare facilities or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in healthcare facility operations.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA, EPA, NFPA standards.
• Membership in a healthcare engineering association preferred; CHFM certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospital and satellite clinics meet Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Plan and lead environment of care/safety meetings; potential safety officer duties.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs per industry standards.
• Foster an inclusive culture that supports patient-centered care.
