Job Summary

Working as the Healthcare Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations in an acute care setting, ensuring safety, sanitation, and quality standards are met. This role is ideal for an energetic culinary professional with leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and modify menus according to guidelines
  • Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; ensure quality through tasting
  • Train staff in food prep, safety, and sanitation
  • Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules
  • Manage inventory within guidelines and ensure availability of supplies
  • Decide on leftover food utilization within company policies
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations through audits
  • Follow safety policies and participate in staff development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of culinary/kitchen management experience, healthcare setting preferred
  • Extensive catering and high-volume foodservice experience
  • Hands-on chef experience required
  • Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office; ServSafe certification preferred
Additional Information

Salary Range: $78,000 - $85,000, D.O.E.
