Job Summary

As the Healthcare Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring a safe, sanitary environment in an acute care setting. You will prepare or supervise meal preparation according to corporate and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus according to guidelines
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; utilize production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality
• Train staff in food prep, safety, sanitation, and equipment operation
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas
• Manage inventory within guidelines, ensuring product availability
• Make decisions on leftover food utilization within company policies
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and pass audits
• Follow safety policies and report incidents
• Participate in meetings and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of culinary/kitchen management experience, healthcare setting preferred
• Catering and high-volume foodservice experience is a plus
• Hands-on chef experience required
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, presentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable
