Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Environmental Services worker to clean and service guest, patient, public, clinical and administrative areas, ensuring a clean and aseptic environment. The role requires basic housekeeping knowledge and the ability to read/write/speak English to follow instructions.

Shifts are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. High school diploma preferred; experience with cleaning equipment is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand verbal English to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Ability to listen and take direction with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Shift Work: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays.
• Maintain assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintain Environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assist with restock of cafe and bar where necessary.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follow Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
