Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Housekeeping position to perform day-to-day cleaning in patient, visitor, and employee areas, ensuring a neat, clean, and safe environment. Duties include following seven-step cleaning methods and complying with Joint Commission Standards and regulatory guidelines.

The role involves cleaning floors and equipment, handling linens, disposing of waste, delivering excellent customer service, data entry, and time management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English to follow directions and document status.
• Knowledge of simple mathematics required for supply usage and reordering.
• Inventory of various counts required.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a clean environment by performing seven-step cleaning in patient, visitor, and staff areas.
• Clean and sanitize floors, medical equipment, and bed frames per procedures; perform special projects as directed.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report repairs to SRC.
• Handle clean and soiled linens and dispose of trash and waste.
• Respond to identified emergency codes as a first responder.
• Stock and replenish supplies and maintain documentation as required.
