Job summary

Falcontek is seeking reliable Janitors / EVS Technicians to support the Hampton VA Health Care System under a VA janitorial services contract. This healthcare setting requires strict infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards.

Duties include cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation of offices, clinical and residential areas, following EMS protocols. Position offers health and life insurance, 401(k), paid time off and holidays; Monday–Friday schedule with shifts, and background checks

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and read English fluently for safety and communication with VA staff.
• Must be in good physical health.
• Must pass a national criminal history background check / VA-issued access badge.
• Prior janitorial/custodial/environmental services experience preferred in healthcare or institutional settings.
• Ability to follow cleaning protocols, SDS, and infection control procedures.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to work the full Monday–Friday schedule.
• Professional conduct; no tobacco, food, or drink outside designated break areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation tasks in designated areas.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain dust-free, clean conditions.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms; stock supplies and ensure restocking within 24 hours.
• Remove trash and waste per EMS guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Clean interior glass, mirrors, and windows; maintain cleanliness of furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuum carpets and mats; treat stains and report damages as needed.
• Follow safety, infection control, and fire/life safety requirements.
• Report safety hazards or damages to on-site supervisor.
