Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for a full-time day shift at the Canistota, SD location. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe environment in patient and staff areas, with responsibilities including floors, waste management, and equipment handling.

Overtime and shift variations may occur based on patient/resident needs. The position requires basic cleaning experience and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and chemicals helpful.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident areas.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas as assigned.
• Wear protective equipment and keep supplies organized and stocked.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate.
