Wedbush Securities seeks an Equity Research Associate to join our award-winning healthcare team in New York. You will work at the intersection of science and finance, analyzing oncology, rare-disease, and platform-technology assets while building a solid analytical toolkit for institutional investors.

You will conduct scientific and market due diligence, translate publications into investment theses, and support the creation of detailed financial models and research notes for our sell-side

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences preferred; Bachelor's degree required in a scientific field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with ability to build financial models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scientific and market due diligence on covered companies.
• Interpret publications and conference presentations to inform investment theses.
• Perform surveys with medical opinion leaders to validate assumptions.
• Support coverage across oncology, rare-disease, and platform companies.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and databases.
• Prepare and publish research notes and reports.
• Interact with management and internal sales teams.
• Assist with other research tasks as assigned.
