Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in the United States is seeking a dedicated cleaning associate to join our facilities team. You will clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using power equipment, ensuring safe and sanitary environments across the facility.

The role covers equipment operation, inventory maintenance, and assisting with room setups for meetings, while following safety guidelines and MSDS references.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment (machine scrubbers, carpet cleaners, etc.).
• Ability to follow oral/written instructions and communicate with others.
• Ability to work independently and understand facility layouts.
• Ability to set priorities and follow department policies.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furniture and carpets using power equipment and refinishes floors.
• Operates cleaning equipment and notifies safety hazards or repairs.
• Uses cleaning products safely and references MSDS as needed.
• Sets up rooms for meetings and delivers audio visual equipment.
• Cleans patient care areas, restrooms, lobby, offices, and corridors.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, vents, and surfaces; dusts and mops floors.
• Gathers, disposes trash and recyclables; handles linens and supplies.
• Reports mechanical failures or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
