Qualifications

• Experience in custodial duties in healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Basic handling of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor maintenance, wall washing and general cleaning.
• Cleans doors, frames, baseboards, corners and stairwells.
• Operates period-specific cleaning equipment including pressure washers and heavy duty buffers.
• Maintains and adjusts cleaning equipment and attachments for best results.
• Empties trash and replaces liners; transports waste to central areas.
• Cleans rest rooms, bathrooms, showers; ensures sanitation and deodorization.
• Cleans mirrors, sinks, water fountains; replenishes supplies in dispensers.
• Moves and arranges furniture; provides bed-making in patient care areas.
• Cleans mattresses and related equipment; cleans bedside stands and tables.
• Removes soiled textiles to designated rooms; transports clean textiles.
• Restocks textile closets and participates in inventory management.
• Cleans patient care refrigerators and ice machines in nourishment areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen, storage cabinets, and corridors; maintains cleanliness of floors and fixtures.
• Cleans windows, blinds, curtains; replaces curtains as needed.
• Cleans needle boxes and occasionally handles non-critical reusable medical equipment.
• May supervise or guide Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned; work schedule varies with service needs.
• Requires continuous walking, standing, bending, kneeling; ability to lift and move equipment up to 50+ lbs.
