Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated environmental services team member to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment. You will perform patient room cleaning, steady upkeep of all areas, and assist with discharge cleanings and routine sanitation tasks to support daily patient care operations.

The role requires following written and oral instructions, basic reading/writing skills, and the ability to operate power equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.
• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to departments; cleans throughout the facility.
• Replenishes dispensers and collects receptacles; cleans exteriors as needed to maintain operations.
• Completes project work such as scrubbing/stripping floors, carpet cleaning and curtain cleaning.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards and regulatory requirements in cleaning processes.
