Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Duties include cleaning patient rooms, hallways and common areas, using appropriate PPE and following infection control guidelines.

The role is full-time with day shifts, starting early morning and requiring weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Location includes a $2.50/hour location premium and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to use a computer is helpful.
• Previous custodial experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and trash removal.
• Follow infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines to ensure health standards.
