Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Shift Supervisor to directly oversee the activities of assigned Environmental Services staff and ensure that areas are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with quality and safety standards.

You will be responsible for the care of equipment, control of supplies, and counseling of employees, and you will make staffing decisions to ensure adequate coverage for the Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM shift.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred
• Associate’s Degree highly Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree highly Preferred
• 1 year previous Environmental Services and/or healthcare experience required. Required
• Previous supervisory experience Preferred
• Equivalent education may be substituted for experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Directly oversees activities of assigned Environmental Services staff to ensure that assigned areas are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with requisite standards of quality and safety.
• The Supervisor also assumes responsibility for care of equipment, control of supplies, and counseling of employees.
• Responsible for making decisions regarding staffing of EVS personnel for appropriate shift to ensure adequate coverage.
