Job summary

Yona Eagle is seeking an Environmental Services Director to oversee housekeeping and laundry operations in a skilled nursing facility. You will coordinate with facility staff to maintain sanitary, safe, and well-supplied environments essential for high-quality resident care.

The role emphasizes leading staff, training, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective program management to ensure survey readiness and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or related experience strongly desired.
• Two years experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision is desired.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals.
• Ability to work all shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures and proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departments.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by department employees.
• Maintains an environment that is sanitary, attractive and orderly.
• Forecasts and plans purchase of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment.
• Plans work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered and maintain proper staffing levels.
• Maintains required records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records.
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget and keeps department survey-ready.
• Maintains resident satisfaction and participates in facility meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
