Responsibilities

• Performs multiple step cleaning procedure, daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, discharge bed making, wall and glass care.
• Responds to stat orders such as discharges, spills, floods, and hospital-wide drills; cleans up organic waste and patient equipment.
• Collects solid and contaminated waste and delivers sealed boxes to designated areas.
• Uses department procedures for cleaning solutions; reports inventory to supervisor and/or team leader; keeps housekeeping cart clean and stocked.
• Reports hazards and participates in infection control and safety procedures.
