Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment and support infection control standards. You’ll contribute to patient well-being in our inpatient rehabilitation settings, helping create a healing environment through attention to detail.

The role involves using cleaning tools and supplies, following procedures, and collaborating with team members to ensure regulatory compliance. Flexibility to cover shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across hospital areas according to standards and regulations.
• Utilize cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, floor polishers, and related tools.
• Handle general office equipment and keep work areas tidy.
• Use good communication and a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.
• Follow guidelines for handling hazardous materials and exposure risks.
