Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services worker for the Burlington facility. The role covers cleaning patient care areas, restrooms, lobbies, and offices, and involves handling medical waste and linens. 2nd shift runs 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.

Minimal formal education is required, and no prior experience is necessary. Strong attention to detail, good communication, and basic computer skills are preferred to maintain a safe and clean

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient care areas, surgical areas, restrooms, lobbies, and offices.
• Cleans environmental surfaces including ceilings, vents, walls and furniture.
• Dusts and damp mops floors in various areas.
• Replaces cubicle and window coverings.
• Gathers, disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste per guidelines.
• Sorts, stocks, and delivers linens; prepares soiled linen for transport.
• Cleans and prepares dismissal and transfer units and equipment.
• Fills and cleans supply dispensers.
• Inventories linens and cleaning supplies; orders items as needed.
• Reports mechanical failures or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
