Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation in Canton, OH seeks an Assistant Manager of Engineering and Renovation to plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering, renovation, infrastructure, and capital projects across the system.

You will work with Facilities Leadership, project managers, clinicians, architects, and contractors to deliver patient-centered environments, ensure schedules and budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance. This is a full-time day-shift role, 80 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or construction engineering; architectural degrees accepted.
• CHC license or ability to attain within 6 months of employment.
• PE license preferred.
• 5 years experience in consulting engineering or construction management in a healthcare environment.
• Experience generating construction budgets, cost estimates, bid packages, and negotiating bids.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering, renovation, infrastructure, and capital construction projects across multiple healthcare facilities.
• Coordinate project activities from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones; report status to leadership.
• Oversee contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, safety, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare facility standards and regulatory codes.
• Lead project meetings and prepare RFPs; monitor consultants and contractors to completion.
