Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineer for our Roseville, CA office to lead complex healthcare electrical design and drive business development in the California Property & Buildings practice. This licensed PE will oversee power systems, life-safety and low-voltage infrastructure across hospitals, medical facilities, and related environments.

You will mentor team members, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with architects and other engineers, and participate in BD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of post-education electrical engineering experience.
• Extensive experience designing electrical systems for healthcare facilities.
• Strong knowledge of California codes (NEC/NFPA/OSHPD/HCAI) and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design for complex healthcare facilities and multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate, review, and approve electrical designs for code compliance.
• Design and oversee power distribution, standby and emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Apply advanced electrical engineering techniques through all project phases.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on applicable projects.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and client communications.
• Oversee and mentor engineers, designers, and staff.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documentation.
• Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and tech disciplines.
• Engage with healthcare clients and stakeholders; participate in BD activities.
