Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineer in South Jordan, UT, to lead electrical design for healthcare projects and develop new clients. The role involves guiding project teams, ensuring codes compliance, and growing client relationships to expand WSP's footprint in the healthcare sector.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams across project phases, deliver high-quality technical outputs, and drive business development while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• 10+ years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical design, particularly in the Healthcare industry.
• Well-connected locally with an extensive network.
• Proficient with electrical engineering principles, design/build, and permitting.
• Experience with electrical planning, design, and construction management; renovations/new design.
• Knowledge of electrical construction laws, codes, compliance practices, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage client relationships and provide technical input on pursuit efforts.
• Coordinate and approve electrical design plans ensuring compliance with codes.
• Apply electrical engineering techniques through concept to operation stages.
• Plan future-ready techniques and operating strategies for end-users and infrastructure.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver multiple projects on time and within budgets.
• Prepare data visualizations and technical reports for presentations and decision-making.
