Farnsworth Group, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager - Healthcare to lead planning, design, and delivery of critical electrical systems for hospitals and complex facilities across the Midwest.

This senior role blends technical leadership with project management, client leadership, and mentoring of engineers within our multidisciplinary teams, with occasional travel to project sites and offices. Candidates should have a PE license and 12–15+ years of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with healthcare project experience preferred.
• Typically 12–15+ years in building electrical design, healthcare focus ideal.
• Experience as electrical lead or electrical project manager coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering team on healthcare projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
• Serve as electrical discipline lead for hospitals and imaging centers, coordinating with multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Oversee electrical design including power distribution, lighting, life‑safety, and low‑voltage systems.
• Direct or review power system studies and perform QA/QC of drawings and calculations.
• Lead project management activities including planning, staffing, scope management, and fees.
• Build client relationships and mentor engineers and designers for growth.
• Support business development through pursuits, scopes, and proposals.
